BOLSOVER DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to Team Blackwell who are the district champions in Sportshall Athletics! The children beat all the competition to take first place - WELL DONE to you all, we are so proud of you! We will now be going to the County Finals in Derby later this term.
We are a busy school with lovely children and dedicated staff.
We actively encourage children to have a positive attitude and strive to create a love of learning by providing a wide range of opportunities within school. We praise and encourage perseverance, resilience and risk taking and ensure children have the confidence to make mistakes. We work hard to prepare our children to be happy, successful and responsible members of society in the future.
Safeguarding and the welfare of our children is a priority and we work with parents, carers and support agencies in an open and honest relationship to ensure children who attend Blackwell are well cared for and protected. We would urge you to look at our safeguarding page for more information.
The website will provide you with information about school policies and procedures as well as an opportunity to see some of the exciting activities we take part in on a day to day basis.
Thank you for visiting!
A "Book People" Book Fair will be held in the school hall next week:
Tuesday 13th - 3:30pm onwards Thursday 15th - 8:45am-9:15am and 3:30pm onwards
Please come along and visit us!
BLACKWELL PRIMARY SCHOOL
For our eco greenhouse, we are in need of 1,100 empty plastic 2L pop bottles. Please wash them out and remove labels before bringing them to school. Thank you.
Safeguarding is given the highest priority at Blackwell. There may be times when adults are concerned about children in the community. If so, then you can contact Derbyshire County Council Child Protection department on 01629 533190 or the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.
Please don't ignore concerns;
Child protection is everyone's responsibility.
"Unlocking Potential, Providing Opportunities, Achieving Goals"
Welcome to the new Blackwell Primary "Parent Portal". If you are a parent or carer of one of our pupils, or a potential parent, you will find all sorts of useful information in this section.
We are the Year 6 councillors, Ben and Megan, and we are going to tell you why we like being at Blackwell so much!
Tesco Bags of Help
Please continue to support us to build our STEM science lab by visiting Alfreton Tesco and posting your "Bags of Help" token in the display near the main entrance.
After half-term, music tutoring will be on Tuesday rather than Thursdays. Please contact the office if you would like to take part!
